Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve and nurture the memory of the pioneers who settled in the original Bark River Township, that we collect and hold, in no small reverence, evidences of their struggles and their accomplishments, to garner as best we can for safekeeping, the physical relics of their lives.

Through these preservation efforts we are passing on our knowledge of history to those who will come after us and encouraging them to continue our work. We accomplish this through our collections, educational programs and exhibits.
